The Antique and Classic Car Show is held each year at Centennial Park in downtown historic Venice, FL. Cars from the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's look as beautiful as they did during their time. The cars are also judged in various categories. This yearly family fun event draws crowds of people of all ages who go there to admire these beautiful vehicles of yesteryear.
The Don Garlitz Classic and Muscle Car Museum is located in Ocala, FL. One section focuses on drag racing. In the other section are hundreds of classic and muscle cars along with memorabilia from the 1930's to the 1960's. Walking through the many cars on display, you feel like you are transported back in time. They don't make cars like this anymore!
Siesta Key, FL is a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico. The stark white sand is like a fine white powder. Even on the hottest days, the sand is cool to walk on. As you sit and enjoy the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, you see boaters, paddle boarders, an occasional parasailing and much more. Voted the #1 Beach in the USA, Siesta Key is gem you will never forget.
Beautiful Riverwalk borders the Manatee River in Bradenton. There is much to do there such as walking, jogging, biking and skateboarding. Further west is a park with a water spout area and a playground for the children. There are bands and food vendors as well. It is a fantastic outdoor venue for adults and kids alike.
On the outskirts of the Blue Ridge Mountains that extend throughout the state of Georgia, is the scenic town of Hiawassee. The first image shows the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains with many other nature images. And nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains is Crane Creek Winery.
I have blogs of flowers in color, and flowers that go from black and white to color. In this video, all the images are in dramatic black and white. When changing an flower in vibrant color to black and white, it also changes the effect of that image. It seems to give it mystery!
Everyone loves flowers. And I am no exception. Photographing flowers outside can present a challenge at times. Wind prompts movement which creates blur, and sunny days create hot spots. But when the stars line up and all is right, the results are beautiful and stunning images. Please take a few minutes to enjoy my beauties!
Punta Gorda, Florida is located south of Venice and north of Ft. Myers. This historic downtown area is abundant with restaurants and shops. Fishermen's Wharf, located on the Gulf of Mexico, has more shops and restaurants. You can relax at the tiki bar, take in a scenic cruise or rent a boat for deep sea fishing. Fun and sunshine is the ticket here!
I love Orchids! I enjoy displaying them in my home. And I especially enjoy photographing these tropical beauties. There is no perfume from an orchid. Nor do they attract butterflies or bees. But they do attract me! What I find fascinating is the intricate, delicate blooms that vary from color to color. Please enjoy my tropical beauties!
I received a Rose Bouquet in which each Rose was a different color. It was simply spectacular! I wish cut flowers could last forever, but I sadly know they won't. So before that happened, I photographed them individually and a shot of all of them. While watching this video, you can almost smell the sweet perfume that only comes from Roses!
The Venice Art Center in downtown Venice, FL, used various local artists to paint Mermaids and Seahorses that are now on display in our Historic Downtown and surrounding areas throughout Venice. Each statue has a name and a sponsor. I photographed these beautiful aquatic creatures then created a video that displays the talent of our local artists. Enjoy!
Historic Downtown Venice is often called Venice Island because it is surrounded by water. There are three drawbridges to get to the island. Strolling around the many shops and restaurants, you will find flowers on street corners and baskets above. There is so much see and do in beautiful Historic Downtown Venice, Florida!
This is a short video of a very unique Bed and Breakfast Farm we stayed at in Brighton Township, PA. Each morning we strolled out to the field to visit the horses then walked over to the barn as the chickens were coming out of the coop. The entire area was abundantly filled with many beautiful flowers. Please enjoy this video of Felicity Farms B & B!
Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year, which I am sure it is for most people. I love everything about the holiday especially the decorating. I play Christmas music and sing along as I decorate my trees and my home. This short video displays photographs of some of my favorite decorations that I love and hope you do as well!
Macro Photography simply makes small objects appear larger. With my Canon Macro Lens, I can focus extremely close to any subject. I capture bumble bees, butterflies and tiny petals on a flower. I also completely fill the frame with a larger flower getting every detail. These small subjects are then made into a large Canvas or Wall Portrait. On a wall in my home I have a 30 x 40 Canvas Wrap of my beautiful yellow hibiscus, Margarita.
I first saw the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains when I moved from Pennsylvania to Florida. The stress of the move was magically erased when I first laid eyes on the blue haze of the mountain tops in the distance. My Husband, who is from North Carolina, took me back to his home state many times. And just like the first time and every time I see the Blue Ridge Mountains, I get that same serene feeling in my heart.
